One-Time Notifications for Facebook Messenger Tutorial
How To Send A Promotional Message Using One-Time Notifications For FB Messenger
In this straightforward tutorial, you will learn how to create and send advertising or promotional messages using OTN notifications on Facebook Messenger.
Messenger’s OTN API allows a page to request one follow-up message after a 24-hour messaging window has ended.
You can use this to ask the user if they want to receive future notifications from your page. Once the user requests to be notified, the page will receive a token equivalent to permission to send a single message to the user.
This token can only be used once and will expire within a year. You will have to apply for OTN permission within the Advanced Messaging section of Page Settings if you are interested in this feature of Facebook.
By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to create, edit, and manage OTN postback templates. You will also be able to filter or view the OTN reports and create, edit or delete OTN postback templates.
